What is the difference between Custom Print and Free Customization?

Custom Print decorates a finished catalog product: pick a SKU, place artwork on the front or back, choose a craft and get a quote. Free Customization develops a garment from scratch: upload reference images, specify fabric, pattern and sizing, add artwork, and our team prepares a full production plan and quote.

How does the custom-print workflow work?

Open a product, choose a SKU and click Customize Print. Place up to eight prints per side, assign a craft to each, optionally render effect previews, and submit. Your request is quoted — automatically from the price matrix where possible — and accepting the quote creates an order ready for payment.

How does Free Customization work?

Go to Free Customization, upload up to five product images, set the surface orientation, add prints and crafts, and submit. A consultation fee (or a promotional credit) confirms the request. Our team then sends a production plan and quote by email and to your account.

What is the difference between Simple and Expert mode?

Both flows offer two interfaces: a step-by-step Simple wizard for quick jobs and an Expert workbench that exposes every control at once. Switch at any time; your choice is remembered for the next visit.

Do I need my own artwork, or can you design it for me?

You supply the artwork — logos, graphics or photos — and place it in the workbench. Our AI tools then render how it looks in the chosen craft and on a model. If you need design services, describe the brief in a Free Customization note and we will advise.

What AI features are available?

Three: craft effect previews that render your artwork in the selected technique, AI try-on images showing the garment on a model, and showcase videos generated from those images. Each consumes promotional credits or wallet balance.

Why is the try-on button locked?

Accepted Answer

Try-on and video unlock once the surface has a base image and every print on it has a craft with a generated effect preview. A garment surface with no prints is already unlocked.

Do I have to pick a model for try-on?

In Simple mode, yes — choose a model from the library for both try-on and video. In Expert mode you can generate video without a library model.

Are my designs saved automatically?

Yes. Both workbenches auto-save a draft moments after each change. Custom-print keeps one draft per product variant; free-customization drafts are listed under Drafts as active or converted.

Can I come back later and continue a draft?

Yes, from Drafts. Drafts for products that have since been retired remain visible as history but cannot be resumed.

Who prepares my quote?

Custom-print requests are priced automatically from the live craft and product matrix when everything is standard; otherwise, and for all free-customization requests, a Labelix specialist prepares and publishes a manual quote.

How long does it take to receive a quote?

Automatic quotes are available immediately after submission. Manual quotes depend on the complexity of the request; you will be notified by email and in your account as soon as one is published.

Does my quote expire?

Manual quotes carry an expiry date set by our team, shown as a live payment countdown on the quote page. Automatic matrix quotes have no countdown. Once a quote expires, contact us to have it refreshed.

What is the consultation fee?

Free Customization requests carry a consultation fee that covers the specialist work of preparing your production plan. New verified accounts receive a free consultation credit that waives it for their first request. Custom-print requests never charge a consultation fee.

Is the consultation fee refundable?

Yes if we are unable to provide a suitable production plan for your project. Once a suitable plan has been delivered, the fee is non-refundable.

What is included in the production plan?

Accepted Answer

Depending on the project: fabric specifications, production techniques, pattern and sizing details, sample and bulk production pricing and estimated lead times. It is delivered by email and attached to your request.

Can I attach documents to my request?

Yes. Signed-in customers can attach up to five PDF, Word or Excel files (20 MB each) — tech packs, size charts or brand guidelines. Attachments are frozen once the request is submitted.

Can I edit my request after submitting it?

The note and attachments are locked at submission so that the quote always refers to a fixed brief. To change the brief, cancel the request while it is still cancellable and submit a new one, or contact us.

Can I cancel a custom request?

Yes. Requests that have not been quoted yet cancel immediately. Once a quote is ready, cancellation creates a review request for our team. After a quote has been converted to an order, cancel the order instead.

What happens when I accept a quote?

Accepting creates an unpaid order with the quoted goods, crafts and shipping. You then pick a payment method; nothing is charged until you pay.

Can I request a sample before the bulk run?

Yes. Mention it in the request note or order a single unit first. For free-customization projects the production plan usually includes both sample and bulk pricing.
